QuakeCon Aftermath

We're back from
QuakeCon
in Dallas and man did we have a blast. Arriving in the middle of record hot temperatures took us Canadians by surprise so we had to adjust to the heat by losing our jackets, toques and dogsleds. Coming off an amazing event in 2010 Psyko Audio was excited to be right in the middle of all the action once again. Being across from the
Tribes: Ascend booth
was great as we were able to watch the game in action – it looks like it is shaping up to be a great product! While controlling our temptations to jump play Tribes all day, we did stir up much excitement at the Psyko booth. T-shirts, contests, and giveaways fueled the action in the expo hall and the demo station was always in use. There was so much to see, play, and hear but I will try and take you through some of the highlights from the event that we witnessed as well as what we have planned for all our fans (new and old) in the next couple weeks.
First off, all I can say is "wow" from the amount of positive feedback we received throughout the event. The booth was packed all weekend with people test-driving the headsets and learning about
PsykoWave technology
- it was awesome to speak with all the people that truly appreciate the science behind the headset. Being able to demonstrate the power of the Psyko Krypton and Psyko Carbon systems and seeing it 'click' with someone is truly an amazing feeling. Reading reviews and talking about the headsets can get a gamer excited but true appreciation for the technology really does come from being able to put them on and hear for yourself.
We were very excited to be one of the major sponsors of the BYOC tournaments. Andrew Tomlinson and the rest of the crew at
Cyber Sports Network (CSN)
had their hands full running a plethora of tournaments throughout the event. Aside from being part of the CSN raffle, Psyko was also the major sponsor for the Team Fortress 2 event. I think everyone in the BYOC walked away with something that they won through CSN. It was also really cool to see the casters for the CSN events using the Psyko Audio headsets throughout the matches, check out the
CSN stream
if you missed any of the final BYOC matches at QuakeCon this year.
Our contests went very well - here are some pictures of the winners from the T-shirt contest. Of course it was so cool to see all of the people wearing the Psyko Audio shirts throughout the event; you are true members of the Psyko Army.
If you missed us at the event, don't worry, we’ll definitely be going back next year. You can catch us on some
upcoming interviews
that are trickling out of the weekend as well as a couple reviews that
Team Player Gaming
and
CVGames
did while they were at the BYOC. Congrats to all the winners of our tournaments, and thanks to everyone for spending the weekend with us talking shop about the headsets. Also, stay tuned to our
Facebook
and
Twitter
feeds to find out what events we’ll be attending in the coming months as well as some awesome deals we will be doing for our fans. We should be rolling out some back to school promos soon as well as our fall event schedule.
We look forward to seeing everyone next year! Be sure to check out the rest of our event pictures on the
Psyko Audio Facebook
page. Thanks to both
Bethesda
and
IDsoftware
for putting on another successful event and we cannot wait for the next one.
