"I have being waiting for this headset for over a year and it could not be any sooner. Bottom line..you will never know "what" hit your ears. I have used every major marketed headset, at least the best ones and none..absolutely none can compare to precision of sound with Psyko [Psyko Carbon to be exact]. I will buy the first legitimate console version when it releases. I love the weight of the headset also, plus I am a Jarhead...so weight is never my issue. Mason of Competitive Gaming was great to help me with my first set. The next version only needs a decoder for optical or HDMI and dual voice chat[Psykos you can beat them all, just stay innovative]. That is my only wish. Furthermore, its like Psyko audio told my ears, "This is what it should sound like!"

"They are great. Real 5.1 sound in a headset is uncommon. Far to many headphones try to claim some form of synthetic surround out of 2 speakers is 5.1. It is a lie. Psyko headsets are the truth. They are comfortable, well padded and the weight is where it is least noticeable on top of the head not hanging off each ear. I put the headset on and I'm immersed in the games. I do not notice I'm wearing them. I can game for hours in comfort."

"I've been using 5.1 headsets for a long time. From the ones with 4 tiny speakers in each earcup to to 'virtual surround' ones that simulate sound locality in software. I thought I knew what surround sound was and what it could offer. I was wrong.
When I first plugged in and put on the Psyko Carbons, I was happy, it sounded about the same as my other headsets, nothing spectacular, but good quality. I fired up QuakeWars, jumped into a game and started listening for where sounds where coming from. It was ok, but no better than my other headsets. I then realized I had failed to change the sound setting from headset to 5.1. As soon as I did this I literally jumped out of my chair! Sounds where coming from EVERYWHERE! I was totally immersed in the environment that at first I was terrified. Once I got used to it, there was no going back. Instinct took over and I was fragging like a machine. No need for radar, I can pinpoint every sound with deadly accuracy and I was dominating the charts.
I stayed up till 4 in the morning playing, it was so exhilarating. Literally the best investment for my gaming machine ever. I just hope I don't get so immersed that I forget to go to work =P."

"The Psyko Carbons provide a surround experience unparalleled by any headset technology I have ever used. I was looking for a headset that could convincingly create 5.1 discrete channels and I was not disappointed. This Psyko headset is 100% analogue, which means that they do not include the obvious tricks to create surround sound. The virtualized 5.1 that just about all other headsets employ is disappointing and painfully easy to see through, which breaks immersion horribly. They are quite comfortable considering the weight. They feel substantial and high quality in the hands and disappear from notice quickly when worn while gaming. The surround that they create feels as if it is outside the head. Several times I felt as if I should turn down my speakers so as not to wake the family, before realizing I was still wearing my headphones. Overall I am pleased with them so far as they provide the 5.1 experience I was looking for and that is lacking from all other headsets I have tried. However, not everyone may want to take the time and effort to break in their headphones or spend time tweaking and re-tweaking their sound card software. If a gamer is willing to put in the effort though, the Psyko 5.1 headphones provide an unparalleled amount of immersion while gaming."
