Psyko Audio was recognized as a Top 10 Innovator at the 2010 Tech Rev Awards last night.  We are totally stoked over here at the office to be in the same light as the other amazing companies who were honored as well:

TechRev is an initiative founded by Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, Calgary Economic Development, and Calgary Technologies Inc. with a mandate to increase awareness of and investment activity in the technology sector in the Calgary region.

A select group of 10 companies was recognized as TechRev Innovators 2010 last night at an invitation-only reception attended by close to 300 of the most influential tech sector stakeholders in Calgary: technology entrepreneurs, investors, industry partners, and collaborators.

An impressive 304 companies were nominated for TechRev Innovators 2010, a platform created to shine the spotlight on milestone achievements of local technology companies. The selection process concluded with companies evaluated on a number of elements including those relating to financial performance, operational growth, and market viability.

During this, the second installation of the TechRev Innovators recognition platform, there was much to celebrate. Not only were the the ten companies named as TechRev Innovators 2010 recognized for their achievements, but hundreds of milestones logged by many Calgary tech companies were also applauded.

Welcoming guests was John Masters, CEO, Calgary Technologies Inc. and introducing the 10 TechRev Innovators was serial tech entrepreneur, Brad Zumwalt, CEO, Zinc Ventures. Loraleigh Kovacik, Director Corporate Sales, for event sponsor, Rogers Communications Inc., made the presentations.

After 24 months of reading and hearing about the global economic crisis and its impact on economies and industries around the world, guests were heartened to be told of some buoyant results achieved by the TechRev Community. From companies in start-up mode right through to companies who are recognized as global leaders, local companies are flourishing.
 
It is amazing to have awards like these come to Pskyo in such an early stage of our life as a company.  It really demonstrates that our technology is being recognized and is at the forefront  of our industry.  To read more about Psyko Audio as a company, and where the idea came from please check out our success story.
