PDX LAN happened over this past weekend and Psyko Audio was one of the major sponsors.  Participants were super excited when they found out that Psyko Audio headsets were on the line for contests, giveaways, and tournaments.  Even though we were not able to be there in person, it was very cool to hear that the Psyko Audio 5.1 PC Gaming headset was the coveted prize that every gamer in attendance wanted to get their hands on.

There was over 500 people registered and even more came through the door over the weekend that ran from July 16 - 19th where the average hours of sleep per night was less than 5. The life of a gamer is tough, but when a tournament is on the line sacrifices must be made.

After talking to the organizer Matt Cromwell, he passed on his thoughts on how the weekend went:
"Wow – what an awesome event! I have to say that PDXLAN 16 is probably my favorite event. There was so much happening. From Dodge ball to tournaments. From charity giving to presentations – this event had it all. PDXLAN 16 wouldn’t have been such a success without you the attendees. Really a LAN is made up of those who attend – and those people decide whether It will be fun or not. By the looks of things, you guys came to party, and party hard you did.Thank you also to the staff – through your hard work the event came together and stayed together. Thanks to the volunteers who helped clean up and set up. Thanks to Rod for the donation of something to help keep our server running. Thanks everyone.
Thank you all for giving. The final total raised for smile train was over $8,500! You all should be proud of that number!"

When it came to giving away the prizes most of the crowd had the typical "hum" but when the Psyko headsets were unleashed everyone was on their feet and excited.  This was great to hear, as Psyko is all about connecting with gamers and getting them the best audio possible.  What was even more impressive was the fact that the Psyko Audio headset was dubbed the "Ultimate Prize" and was chosen over a $1,000 processor.

The event finished on Monday and Psyko Audio was proud to be a part of one of the biggest LANs on the West Coast.  Congrats to all the folks at PDX Lan and we are definitely looking forward to the next one.  Thanks to everyone involved at PDX Lan for helping spread the Psyko name around!
